Privacy Policy

MotorVault ("we", "us", "our") is a UK-based vehicle management service operated by C2S Software Ltd, registered in England and Wales. You can contact us at hello@motorvault.app.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Your name and email address when you register
• Vehicle registration numbers and related details you add to your garage
• Documents you upload (insurance certificates, MOT certificates, V5C, service records, etc.)
• Payment information — processed and stored securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• Basic usage data to help us improve the product (page views, feature usage). This is anonymised and aggregated.

To be absolutely clear:

• We do not sell your personal data to anyone
• We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers
• We do not show you advertising of any kind
• We do not build advertising profiles or track you across other websites
• We do not use your vehicle data, documents, or account activity for any purpose other than running MotorVault for you

We use your data solely to:

• Provide and operate the MotorVault service
• Send you important account and service notifications (e.g. upcoming MOT or insurance renewals)
• Process your subscription payment via Stripe
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with our legal obligations

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure hosted within the European Union. We apply row-level security so that your data is only accessible to your account. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We take security seriously and review our practices regularly.

Documents you upload are stored in private, access-controlled storage. They are not publicly accessible.

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate MotorVault:

We do not integrate with social media platforms or any advertising networks.

MotorVault uses only essential cookies required for authentication and to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies that identify you personally, or any third-party advertising cookies.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to or restrict processing in certain circumstances

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@motorvault.app. We will respond within 30 days.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently delete your personal data and uploaded documents within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records by law (e.g. financial records related to Stripe payments, which may be retained for up to 7 years for tax purposes).

MotorVault is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We will never change our core commitment: your data is not for sale.
